Flexible furniture that has so many options as kids grow! You can choose to buy beds as separate items, add-ons or the complete package to grow with your children’s needs. With coordinating furniture for Steens bed range, wardrobes, drawers, desks and bookcases is available in all four fantastic finishes – Bright White, Whitewashed (where you can see the wood details through the paint), Natural Pine and Lyed Oiled Pine**. The range allows you to decide how to make the best use of space in your child's bedroom, from play area to study area, you can achieve it with Steens bedroom range. The bed range is easily adjusted to allow for cots, baby beds, single beds, cabin beds, highsleepers combos and bunk beds.
It all starts with a simple bed made to last out of well-crafted, solid pine and other eco friendly materials. From there, you can add from our wide selection of extensions, storage units and accessories. As your child grows, and needs change, the system is easily adjusted to cater for sleeping, playtime, school time, even teen rooms. We believe you should only have to buy kids furniture once – so the Steens system is flexible and solid enough to last well into the teenage years.

Flexi Cot – Starting a family? What better place to start than with a Steens flexi cot & changer unit. Keep your cot longer and make your changer into a bookcase later on! Steens flexi cot bed will grow with your needs, when its time to change to a junior bed, just position the mattress at your optimum height and remove or lower the side rails. Available in a choice of three finishes and takes a 70cm x 140cm mattress (Sold Separately).
Baby Changer – Steens cleverly designed changer is really a long term solution, when used as a changer the storage is in the side shelves and 4 drawers, and the unit is a full 54 cm deep. When it has finished its life as a changer, simply converts to a stylish chest of drawers with open shelf, and 2 separate bookcases.
Single Bed – The basic unit from which all the others can grow. Whether you just want a good solid functional bed with a bit of extra flair or as a stepping stone to to a mid or high combination later on, the Steens single bed is the answer. Being of Scandinavian design please be aware that all of the beds in this range are designed to accept a 90cm x 200cm mattress. We can, of course, supply these at our normal low prices or you can use your existing mattress***.
Mid-Sleeper – For those early growing years midsleeper beds, also known as cabin beds, are the first step in making more SPACE for all that stuff young children need in their ever shrinking bedroom.By raising the single bed to a safe but fun level you can create that extra space for fun and functionallity. Use the space underneath to house a pull out desk and coordinating chests or bookcases. You can even fit an optional slide for that extra special touch! Bright coordinating tunnels, tents, cushions and toy tidys are available in various colours for that finishinf touch. The midsleeper can be purchased a complete kit of as an add on to an existing single bed.
Bunk Beds – Growing family? These could be just the answer. Steens Bunk Beds are both fun and functional. They look fantastic in any child's bedroom and can be purchased as a full kit or as an extention to an existing single bed.
High-Sleeper - For older children Highsleeper beds are a great solution for freeing up more space in your child's bedroom. By raising the bed above Midsleeper level you can either use the space underneath to house coordinating wardrobes, chest of drawers or bookcases. Maybe even adding the desk to give your teenager a great place to study, or even add another bed as a day bed, an ideal place to watch telly, play games and somewhere for friends to sleepover.

*** Please note most UK standard mattresses are 90cm x 190cm - so when used with any of the Steens bed range there will be approximately a 5cm gap at either end (or 10 cm if you choose to push your mattress to the head end). That said; also remember that the extra length of a larger UK bed means that your Steens bed will accommodate all but the tallest teenager and most adults!
